Come August 15th, India celebrates its Independence Day. It is a memorable and historic day in the lives of every Indian. This year India is celebrating `Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with great fanfare to commemorate India’s 75 years of independence. As a part of this Mahotsav our Prime Minister has organised the campaign `Har Ghar Tiranga’ and has called for hoisting of Indian Tri-colour in every house, school, college, office throughout the country between August 13th and August 15th. President of India addresses the nation on the eve of Independence Day. On this day, our Prime Minister hoists the Indian tricolour at the Red Fort and addresses the nation with a speech. Independence day is also celebrated in our school by hoisting of the Indian national flag by our respected Principal - Vile Parle, Smt. Purnimatai Shastri, Vice-Principal, Smt. Shamalitai More and Principal - Andheri branch Smt. Mrudulatai Phadke and Vice-Principal Smt. Anushreetai Orpe respectively. This is followed by providing information and explaining importance of this day. Students also sing national anthem and marching songs.
